Lecture: Human Rights Development in China (by Professor CHEN Zhengong)

March 13th, 2014 -  Chen Zhengong, Vice Executive Secretary of the China Society of Human Rights Studies, gave a lecture on "The Development of Chinese Human Rights Cause" in the reference materials room of the Institute for Human Rights. 

Mr. Chen sorted out the development skeleton of theory and practice of human rights before the 1990's, emphasized the importance of the white paper, "Status of Chinese Human Rights" in 1991, and expressed some ideas about pushing forward the development of Chinese human rights.

Mr. Chen encouraged the 8 first-year degree candidates to study hard and make a contribution to the respect and implementation of universal human rights.

Professor Zhang Wei of the Institute was grateful to Mr. Chen for the wonderful lecture and contributions he made.
