Lecture: Study Methods of International Human Rights Law ( by Prof. Sun Shiyan)

March 14th, 2014 - Mr. Sun Shiyan, Professor of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, gave a lecture on the study methods of International Human Rights Law at the Institute for Human Rights. The audience participating in the lecture included: Professor Zhang Wei of the Institute and all 8 first-year master's students.

Prof. Sun explained how to do research on the substantive rights of the International Covenant on Civil andPolitical Rights (ICCPR) and talked about the right to a fair trial in the ICCPR as an example.

Mr. Sun particularly stressed that students should takea cademic research papers seriously. 

The lecture ended in a warm and harmonious atmosphere.
