Lecture: Perfection and Implementation of Constitutional Law - A Human Rights Perspective (by Prof. Asbjørn Eide)

November 6, 2014 - Prof. Asbjørn Eide, a Norwegian human rights scholar, specializing in law and social science research, delivered a lecture and a presentation to the master's and Ph.D. students of the Institute for Human Rights of CUPL. 

Most of the professors of the Institute attended the lecture. These include Prof. Zhang Wei, Prof. Ban Wenzhan, Prof. XuShuang, etc.



The theme of the presentation was “Perfection and Implementation of Constitutional Law—a Human Rights Perspective”. Prof. Eide talked about the history of constitutionalism in the Western countries, clarified the distinction between the rule of law and the rule by law, and specified the meaning of constitutionalism.



In the end, Prof. Zhang Wei thanked Prof. Eide for the wonderful lecture. All participants posed for a common picture with Prof. Eide.
