Seminar: Academic research experience (by Prof. WANG Wanhua)

March 25th, 2014 - Professor WANG Wanhua, who was elected as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Jurists in China , shared her academic research experience with the professors and students of the Institute. Co-Director ZHANG Wei and Professors YANG Qinhuo, and SUN Meng, as well as first year students participated in the seminar. Professor WANG Wanhua expressed her willingness to communicate with the students of the institute and provided five suggestions for their personal betterment:

(1) Select your academic interest and field as soon as possible;

(2) Maintain a balance between yourdreams and being rational;

(3) Deal with the relationship of life and learning head-on;

(4) Take academic research seriously;

(5) Take initiative to communicate with others.

At the end of the seminar, Professor WANG Wanhua answered a number of questions from students concerning how to isolate their learning interests and how to turn knowledge into practice. In addition, Professor WANG Wanhua had an open discussion with Professor YANG Qinhuo and Professor SUN Meng at the gathering. With obvious enthusiasm expressed by both the volume and nature of the participants’ questions, the seminar was a success.
