Meeting:National Human Rights Action Plan (2012-2015) Implementation Assessment Summary Meeting Held in Beijing

     June 14, 2016"National Human Rights Action Plan (2012-2015)" Implementation Assessment Summary Meeting Held at the Great Hall of the People, Beijing. The meeting was organized by the Information Office of State Council and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Many leaders of state departments and representatives from other units attended the meeting, as well as some country envoys. Dr. Wei ZHANG, Associate Professor, Co-Director of the Institute for Human Rights and Associate Professor Shuang XU were invited to attend the meeting.

 

 

     During the meeting, 15 volunteers from the Institute for Human Rights served as staff for reception, arranged assembly room and assist the host to maintain the order of the assembly hall, as well as some other activities. After the meeting, the volunteers were highly praised by the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the CPC.

 

 

     This meeting was a historical moment for human rights development of China, both teachers and students of the Institute paid high attention to this meeting. As the meeting declared, the goals and tasks which set in the "National Human Rights Action Plan (2012-2015)" have been accomplished, the government will formulate the third Action Plan soon in the following. The relevant departments will work together to promote the further development of human rights in China.
