The Meeting of New Graduate Students of the Class of 2024 of the Institute for Human Rights was held successfully

On September 6, 2024, the Graduate Institute for Human Rights held a meeting for new graduate students of the class of 2024 in the conference room of 815, 8th floor of the Library Complex on the College Road Campus. Participants included leaders of the institute, full-time supervisors, heads of departments, all master’s students of class 2024, and representatives of master’s students of class 2022 and class 2023. The meeting was presided over by Ms. Wu Mianiun, secretary of the Student Party Branch of the Institute for Human Rights and counselor.

At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Associate Yang Bochao, assistant to the director of the Institute for Human Rights, made a speech and shared his experience about mentality, study and life.

Then, master’s students and doctors of the class 2024 introduced themselves one by one, and all of them made simple but enthusiastic introductions about their hometowns and expectations for the future.

Immediately after that, the full-time supervisors and department heads made speeches, expressing their welcome and expectations for the new students. Prof. Ban Wenzhang, Prof. Li Hongbo, Prof. Lin Jianjun, Associate Prof. Xu Shuang, Associate Prof. Wang Liwan, Lecturer Wu Wenyang, Prof. Sun Meng, and Prof. Liu Xiaonan, etc. took the floor to share their expectations and suggestions to the new students. The department heads, including Ms. Yan Zihan, also introduced the work of their respective departments.

At the end of the meeting, Prof. Zhang Wei, the executive vice dean, made a summary speech.

The meeting not only deepened the understanding between teachers and students, but also provided valuable study suggestions and life guidance for the 2024 students, and the meeting of 2024 graduate students ended successfully with warm applause!
