The Award Ceremony of National Human Rights Education and Training Base were jointly held by the Ministry of Education and the Foreign Promotion Office of Central Committee in Beijing on October 13^th, 2011. Mr. Luo HaoCai, vice chairman of the tenth National Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and president of China Society for Human Rights Studies, has attended the award ceremony. The Vice minister of Ministry of education, Li WeiHong and the deputy director of Foreign Public Relations of the Central Committee, Dong YunHu, also attended the ceremony and gave speeches. Together, Luo HaoCai, Li WeiHong and Dong YunHu awarded China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), Nankai University, and Guangzhou University the plaque that symbolizes honorable achievements. These three universities are being recognized as the pioneers of National Human Rights Education and Training Base.

Professor Huang Jin attended the opening ceremony and accepted the base plaque on behalf of our University CUPL. Professor Gao HuanYue, vice secretary of Party Committee of CUPL; Professor Liu JingWei, director of Research Department of CUPL; Professor Liu ChangMin, minister of Public Relations Department of the Party Committee of CUPL; Professor Zheng YongLiu from China-EU school of law; Professor Xia YinLan from School of Civil, Commercial, and Economic Laws of CUPL; Professor Zhang Wei, deputy director of Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law of CUPL;  Professor Ban WenZhan, deputy director of Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law of CUPL; Associate professor Xu Shuang and all the postgraduate students and doctoral students of human rights law also attended the ceremony.

Li WeiHong congratulated the establishment of the National Human Rights Education and Training Bases in the three universities on behalf of Ministry of Education and put forward four requirements for building well developed Human Rights training bases. Dong YunHu also put forward three points of hope for building well developed bases in his speech.
