The first student union election conference of the Institute for Human Rights was held successfully

On November 4, 2017, the first student union election conference of the Institute for Human Rights of China University of Political Science and Law was held successfully. Professor Ban Wenzhan and Professor Sun Meng attended the meeting. Professor Sun Meng, the secretary of the party branch presided over the meeting.

First of all, professor Sun affirmed the significance of the student union, and briefly explained the main work of the student union. By the time the meeting was held, the public notice of three candidates, Wu Huabing, Peng Kun and Han Yufeng, had not received any objection. That was in line with the requirements set out in the articles of association of the institute of human rights. Professor Sun announced that the three candidates were eligible to run for student union.

Secondly, the three candidates delivered wonderful speeches. Wu Huabing, who ran for President of the student union, elaborated on his understanding of the student union and his future work. Peng Kun ran for the foreign minister of the student union, and the main content of his speech was his future work plan. Han Yufeng ran for the secretary general of the student union. She believed that serving students was an important task for the secretary general of the student union.

Finally, the three candidates were elected by secret ballot. The first student union election conference of the institute of human rights was successfully concluded.
