The Third High-end Think Tank Forum of China University of Political Science and Law, titled "Hot Issues, Challenges, and Solutions in Self-Media Regulation," was Successfully Held

On the afternoon of May 20, 2025, the third high-end think tank forum of China University of Political Science and Law was successfully held at the university. The forum was jointly organized by the Institute for Human Rights (Institute for Contemporary Rule of Law) and the School of Civil, Commercial, Economic, and Legal Affairs, with the theme of "Hot Issues, Challenges, and Solutions in Self-Media Regulation." Participants included scholars from the Institute of Law, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Beijing Normal University, and Beijing Business University, as well as industry experts from ByteDance (Douyin Group) and faculty members from multiple schools and colleges at China University of Political Science and Law. The forum was chaired by Zhang Chong, Director of the Research Report Office of the Institute for Human Rights (Institute for Contemporary Rule of Law).

During the event, experts engaged in in-depth discussions on the challenges, pain points, and optimization pathways in self-media regulation, offering practical strategies for improving self-media governance. They reached a consensus: self-media regulation is a systemic project requiring collaboration among multiple stakeholders. Through a reasonable institutional framework, it is possible to achieve long-term management, regulate self-media effectively, and promote its healthy development.
